dovunque
everywhere
adverb doh-VOON-kweh Rare
Origin: From Latin de- + ubicumque (wherever)
Also means
wherever
Usage Note
Dovunque functions both as an adverb meaning 'everywhere' (lo vedo dovunque — I see it everywhere) and as a conjunction meaning 'wherever' introducing a subordinate clause (dovunque tu vada — wherever you go). In the conjunction use it takes the subjunctive. Do not confuse with ovunque, which is a near-synonym and interchangeable in most contexts.
