Usage Note
Documentato is the past participle of documentare, used adjectivally. It agrees in gender and number: documentata, documentati, documentate. Un caso ben documentato means a well-documented case; una fonte documentata means a sourced reference. The reflexive documentarsi means 'to do one's research' — very handy for a learner.
