Usage Note
Dignitoso describes something or someone that commands respect or meets a minimum standard of decency — a salario dignitoso (a decent wage) or a comportamento dignitoso (dignified behaviour). It is less strong than nobile (noble) but more nuanced than decente. The feminine form is dignitosa; plurals are regular.
