Decimo is both an ordinal number (il decimo piano — 'the tenth floor') and, as a noun, one-tenth (un decimo della popolazione — 'a tenth of the population'). In Italian, ordinal numbers agree in gender and number with the noun: la decima volta ('the tenth time'). Abbreviated in writing as 10°/10ª.
