Cubo refers to the geometric solid with six equal square faces. In mathematics, al cubo means 'cubed' (raised to the third power): due al cubo fa otto (two cubed is eight). The adjective form is cubico (cubic). Do not confuse with dado (die, small cube), used mainly for game pieces or stock cubes.
