Usage Note
Contradditorio (also spelled contraddittorio) describes statements, evidence, or behaviour that contradicts itself or another claim. In legal Italian, il contraddittorio used as a noun refers to the adversarial principle — the right of both parties to be heard. The double-t spelling (contraddittorio) is the more standard form.
