comprensibile
understandable; comprehensible
adjective kohm-pren-SEE-bee-leh Rare
Usage Note
Comprensibile is a two-ending adjective: same form for masculine and feminine, comprensibili in the plural. It is a safe cognate. Note that comprensivo is a false friend — it means 'understanding/empathetic' (a compassionate person), not 'comprehensive'. Use comprensibile for 'understandable', esaustivo for 'comprehensive'.
Examples
"La sua reazione è del tutto comprensibile."
Natural Translation
His reaction is entirely understandable.
