Centrista is a political noun and adjective describing someone or something belonging to the political centre. It is gender-common — il centrista / la centrista — with the plural centristi (m) / centriste (f). In Italian politics the centre has historically been highly fragmented, making centrista a common but contested label. The seed left gender blank; it is grammatically masculine when referring to a male person.
