Usage Note

Capitolino refers specifically to the Capitoline Hill in Rome, one of the seven hills, seat of the ancient Roman temples and today's city hall (Palazzo Senatorio). The Musei Capitolini are among the world's oldest public museums. Outside Rome, the word is rarely used.
