Usage Note
Bugiardo can be both a noun (a liar) and an adjective (lying, deceitful): un bambino bugiardo ('a lying child'). The feminine form is bugiarda. The related noun is bugia (a lie). Don't confuse bugiardo with falso (false) — falso can describe objects or documents, while bugiardo refers specifically to people who tell lies.
