Usage Note
Avente is the present participle of avere (to have), used almost exclusively in legal and bureaucratic Italian — avente diritto (entitled party, lit. 'having right'), avente causa (successor in title). It is not used in ordinary conversation; che ha would replace it in spoken Italian.
