arrangiare
to arrange
verb ahr-rahn-JAH-reh Rare
Origin: From French arranger, from Old French arengier
Also means
to manage, to get by
Usage Note
Arrangiare and its reflexive arrangiarsi have quite different flavors. The base verb means to arrange (music or logistics), while arrangiarsi means to manage on one's own, improvise, or make do — mi arrangio ('I'll manage'). The reflexive sense is very common in everyday speech. Auxiliary avere for the base; essere for the reflexive.
Examples
"Si è arrangiato con quel poco che aveva."
Natural Translation
He managed with the little he had.
