Usage Note
Ammoniaca refers both to the chemical compound (NH₃) and to household ammonia cleaning solution. The stress falls on the i: am-mo-NÌ-a-ca. Be careful not to confuse it with ammonio (ammonium, the ion). In the home it is most commonly encountered as a component of glass and tile cleaners.
