Usage Note

Aggregare can be used transitively (aggregare dati = to aggregate data) or reflexively (aggregarsi a un gruppo = to join a group). The reflexive aggregarsi is common in everyday speech for joining a social gathering informally: Mi aggrego! ('Count me in!'). It takes essere in compound tenses when reflexive.
