Also means
acceptance, welcome
Usage Note
Accoglimento denotes the formal act of receiving or accepting — a request, a person, or an idea. It is more administrative than the warmer noun accoglienza (hospitality, welcome): l'accoglimento della domanda means the acceptance of an application. The double 'c' before 'o' gives a hard 'k' sound; the 'gli' cluster is the palatal lateral 'ly'. Plural: gli accoglimenti.
Examples
"L'accoglimento della richiesta è stato rapido."
Natural Translation
The acceptance of the request was quick.
