Usage Note

Tweet is masculine and invariable in Italian — the plural is still i tweet, not tweets. It is an anglicism fully integrated into Italian digital vocabulary. The corresponding verb is twittare (to tweet). Since Twitter rebranded as X, post is increasingly preferred in informal usage.
