Usage Note
Storicamente is formed regularly from storico + -mente and is common in academic and journalistic writing. Do not confuse storico (historical, relating to history) with storico used colloquially to mean 'legendary' or 'iconic' — the adverb, however, keeps only the temporal/scholarly sense.
Examples
"Storicamente, la città era un porto importante."
Natural Translation
Historically, the city was an important port.
