Rossa is the feminine form of rosso. It functions as a standalone adjective agreeing with a feminine noun (la macchina rossa), and colloquially as a noun meaning a red-haired woman (una rossa). In Italian, adjectives agree in gender and number with their noun: rosso/rossa/rossi/rosse. Do not use rossa with masculine nouns.
