Usage Note

Reperto is a technical term for an object discovered and catalogued — most commonly in archaeology (reperto archeologico) or forensic science (reperto medico-legale). In a courtroom it means a piece of evidence or exhibit. It should not be confused with repertorio (repertoire). The plural is regular: i reperti.
