Usage Note

Quotare has two main uses: to quote a price (quotare un lavoro = to quote a job) and to list a company on a stock exchange (essere quotato in borsa = to be listed on the stock exchange). The noun quotazione (quotation, market price) and the adjective quotato (highly regarded; listed) are common. It takes avere in compound tenses.
