Usage Note
Olandese refers to both the Dutch language and Dutch nationality. As a noun, l'olandese is the language; gli olandesi are Dutch people. Beware: olandese relates strictly to Holland (Olanda, two of the Netherlands' provinces), while neerlandese is the more precise term for the national language — though olandese is by far the more common word. It is invariable in gender (l'olandese) with plural olandesi.
Examples
"Parla olandese con i suoi colleghi."
Natural Translation
