Usage Note
Morbidezza is the abstract noun from morbido, meaning soft or smooth to the touch — used of fabrics, skin, pastry, or a musical tone. This is a classic false-friend trap: morbido does NOT mean 'morbid' (which is morboso in Italian). Morbido and morbidezza are wholly positive words in Italian, evoking pleasantness and comfort.
Examples
"La morbidezza di questo tessuto è sorprendente."
Natural Translation
The softness of this fabric is surprising.
