Meteorologia is the scientific study of weather and atmospheric phenomena. In everyday speech, Italians more often say previsioni del tempo (weather forecast) rather than meteorologia, which is reserved for formal or scientific contexts. The plural meteorologie is rarely used. The adjective form is meteorologico.
