Usage Note

Mese is masculine and its plural mesi is regular. Italian month names (gennaio, febbraio, etc.) are all masculine and written in lowercase, unlike English. The expression il mese prossimo means 'next month' and il mese scorso means 'last month'. Fra un mese or tra un mese both mean 'in a month's time'.
