Usage Note
Medievale is invariable for gender — the same form serves masculine and feminine (il periodo medievale, la città medievale). It only changes for plural: medievali. The synonym medioevale (with the digraph) is also accepted but less common in modern usage.
Examples
"Visitiamo un castello medievale domani."
