Also means
steer
Usage Note
Manzo refers both to the animal (a castrated bull or steer) and to the meat (beef). In a butcher's or restaurant context it almost always means beef: bistecca di manzo ('beef steak'). Do not confuse with vitello ('veal') or toro ('bull').
Examples
"Ho ordinato un filetto di manzo."
Natural Translation
I ordered a beef tenderloin.
