Usage Note
Invertito is the past participle of invertire (to invert, to reverse) used as an adjective. It describes something turned upside down or in the opposite direction — ordine invertito (reverse order), testo invertito (mirrored text). In older Italian it was also used as a pejorative term for homosexual, so context matters; modern usage is almost exclusively the neutral 'reversed/inverted' sense.
