Usage Note

Incolumità (also spelled incolumità) is a formal or legal term denoting physical safety and freedom from harm — incolumità pubblica (public safety) and incolumità personale (personal safety) are standard legal phrases. Like all nouns ending in -tà, it is invariable in plural. It is rarely used in casual speech, where sicurezza is preferred.
