Impartire is formal and means to give or convey something (instructions, a blessing, an order) from a position of authority: impartire ordini ('to issue orders'), impartire istruzioni ('to give instructions'), impartire una benedizione ('to impart a blessing'). It is conjugated with avere and follows regular -ire patterns. In everyday speech dare is used instead.
