facile

easy

adjective FAH-chee-leh Less Common

Origin: from Latin 'facilis'

Usage Note

Facile ends in -e, so it has just two forms: facile singular, facili plural, regardless of gender. The dismissive è facile a dirsi means 'easier said than done'. Avoid confusing it with fragile (fragile), which it rhymes with.

Examples
