Usage Note

Davvero intensifies or asks for confirmation, like 'really'. On its own Davvero? means 'Is that so?', and dico davvero means 'I mean it'. It is interchangeable with veramente but a touch more conversational.

I am really tired today.

Literal Translation

I-am really tired today.
