Usage Note
Cosiddetto (the standard spelling; cosidetto is a common misspelling) is used to cast doubt or irony on a label, much like English 'so-called'. It precedes the noun: il cosiddetto esperto (the so-called expert). The feminine form is cosiddetta.
Examples
"Il cosiddetto esperto non sapeva nulla."
Natural Translation
