Cessionario is a legal term for the party who receives a transferred right, claim, or asset — the recipient in a cessione (transfer/assignment). Its counterpart is cedente (assignor, the transferring party). The feminine form is cessionaria. The word is almost exclusively found in contracts, property transfers, and banking documents, and has no natural everyday equivalent.
