Usage Note
Autobus is invariable — the plural is also autobus (no -i added). It is masculine: l'autobus / gli autobus. In speech, Italians often shorten it to just il bus. Do not confuse with pullman (long-distance coach) or tram (tram/streetcar). Taking the bus is prendere l'autobus or andare in autobus.
