Usage Note
Anzianità most commonly refers to seniority in a workplace context — years of service that may affect pay or rank. In everyday speech it can also refer simply to old age, as in l'anzianità dei nonni. Note that anzianità is invariable in the plural, like all nouns ending in an accented vowel: le anzianità remains the same form.
