Usage Note
Antisommossa is an invariable compound adjective used attributively before or after the noun: polizia antisommossa (riot police), reparto antisommossa (riot unit), scudo antisommossa (riot shield). It does not inflect for gender or number. La sommossa (riot) comes from sommuovere (to stir up), from Latin submovere.
